We played two great matches today against an improved Brookings team and Pipestone. The girls played a total of 31 singles/doubles matches b/w Varsity and Junior Varsity and did not drop one match. VERY impressive.
Rubin and Thomas found ways to win close matches today. After being down 0-5 in there first doubles match against Brookings, they came back to win 11-9. Against Pipestone, they held off a comeback and won a tie-break 7-4.
Makenzie also stepped in at #4 Singles for Hanna. She and Erin Spanton are both 2-0 in their first Varsity singles matches.
At #1 and #2, Buse and Naasz played solid matches and looked great. They will fill those spots very nicely.
JV girls played awesome as well. We got many compliments on the great serving and hard, consistant groundstrokes. I was impressed with Leah at the net today! Keep it up, ladies!!!
We have a lot of work to do, but it was a great start to the season! Feel free to comment . . . I could write all day about the girls!
